LEGAL

Cookie Policy

Which cookies and similar technologies ABI Analytics uses, why, and how you can control them.

Effective: 21 May 2026 · Last updated: 21 May 2026

1. What are cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember your preferences, understand how you interact with it, and improve your experience. Similar technologies such as local storage and pixels work in much the same way. In this policy, “cookies” covers all such technologies.

2. Categories we use

We use two categories of cookies:

Strictly necessary – required for the website to function, including remembering your cookie-consent choice so we do not show the banner repeatedly. These cannot be switched off.

Analytics – help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. These are only set if you click Accept all in our cookie banner. They are provided by Google Analytics 4.

We do not use advertising cookies, do not run remarketing pixels, do not share data with ad networks, and do not sell personal data for cross-context behavioural advertising.

3. Specific cookies in use

Cookie / item Category Purpose Duration
abi_cookie_consent Strictly necessary Remembers your consent choice so the banner is not shown on every visit. Stored in browser localStorage (not transmitted to ABI servers). Until cleared
_ga Analytics Google Analytics 4 – distinguishes unique visitors. 2 years
_ga_T7V4DGYZT6 Analytics Google Analytics 4 – session state for this property. 2 years
_gid Analytics Google Analytics 4 – distinguishes users for 24-hour reporting. 24 hours

4. How we obtain consent

On your first visit, you will see a cookie banner at the bottom of the page. Until you make a choice, only the strictly-necessary item above is set; analytics run in Google Consent Mode v2 with consent denied, sending only anonymised, cookieless pings.

If you click Accept all, we record your choice and enable Google Analytics cookies. If you click Reject all, no analytics cookies are written and Google Analytics continues in denied mode.

5. How to change your choice

To change your cookie preferences at any time:

  • In your browser, clear the site data for www.abianalytics.com. On your next visit, the banner will reappear and you can make a new choice.
  • Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies entirely from Settings → Privacy. This may affect how some websites work but will not affect your ability to read content on www.abianalytics.com.
  • For Google Analytics opt-out across all websites, install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use or in applicable law. The updated version will be posted here with a new “Last updated” date.
